June 20th State-wide Event

Filed under: Events, Keystone United News — Douglas Myers @ 2:56 pm

KU_logo_smallSaturday, June 20th was the first ever state-wide Keystone United event.   The event, which was organized with reaching local communities in mind, was a success.  While severe thunderstorms weaved their way through the state, it did not hamper the spirits, nor keep a large number of people from wanted to meet Keystone United and it’s members.  I do personally think that the weather did keep many people, especially with children, indoors.

In the cities of Wilkes-Barre, Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh members of Keystone United were joined by individuals interested in meeting for the first time or attended just to continue to show their loyal support.  While no particular location had any amazing or staggering numbers.  Combined numbers for the day, throughout the state, showed we had over 80 people in attendance; mostly newcomers.  Expected results were varied as this is the first event of it’s type.

Many people, particularly in these ever frugal financial times, were appreciative of the idea.  With that in mind, smaller state-wide events like this may not be that uncommon in the future.
